bearpaw The Artist
Montana artist John Moffatt, though a Non-Native American himself, has long had a deep admiration and respect for Native American cultures both now-and their way of life in years past. His love for the indigenous cultures of America has motivated him to research, study and add to the preservation of their traditional crafts through his art. His dedication to authenticity in the designs, materials used and the quality in his work has earned him wide spread recognition. John incorporates beadwork, the making of rawhide, brain-tanning, quill work, earth paints, and the use of only natural resources.
